I’m not that great, there’s lots of people better than me, but I hope what I say can help you!- practise everyday. Even just doodles. It helps a lot. I guess this is the most important thing.
- practise realism first before creating stylised art. a solid foundation in anatomy (try picking up andrew loomis), composition, and color theory would help. this is a very good resource post!
- don’t be afraid of crit. i was really unreceptive to crit when i first received it, but a fresh eye looking at your work will really help!
- I’ve zipped a couple of files I’ve used in a workshop I gave a while back here. Just unzip, click on index.html and start from there!
Goodness, thank you! There isn’t a specific place/time I’ve learned to draw, per se, since I have never taken art classes or such, but I have been drawing since I was a child :)
